I’d like to share with you a kid’s clothes brand that I discovered in 2012 and that I loved since the first time: nununu. What attracted my attention was the use of color that they do in their garments. Mostly because this sector is characterized by the use of bright colors, instead, nununu main colors are black, grey and white.
Its own founders, Iris and Tali, confess that nununu is the brand that dresses kids in black. For both of them, black is innocent, promising and much as a child, a blank slate, ready to be filled with ideas. And this is the reason why they were excited to create a clothing brand that, as they call it “is the antithesis of clichéd baby wear and over-stimulating kid stuff”.
Another aspect that it’s really interesting is that most of their clothes are made of knitted fabrics, whether T-shirts, skirts, dresses or pants. The essence of nununu clothing is the comfort. Not only for their fabric but also for their practical shape, that wears well and looks great, no matter the kid’s age.
Iris and Tali want the same for their children that want for themselves: quality, comfort and style.
The whole brand philosophy is in line with their principles. The nununu foundation is that kids are creative, had their own ideas and perspectives.
In fact, it’s usual to find team member’s offspring in their headquarters in Tel Aviv. In some way, it’s a strategic move to have them around and have a direct feedback from the final user of their products. All of them love hearing the kid’s input about their clothes, because, as they say “all have pretty good taste and strong opinions, especially on matters of comfort”.
If you are curious about discovering more nununu designs, I invite you to visit the Pinterest board I’ve made especially for this post with a selection of their best products.
Now I’d like to know your opinion.
I’m sure that nununu has not let you indifferent, so I’m all ears.
We’ll meet on the comments below.
All the best,
Laia
